Brahm Bhardwaj was one of the most popular actors of the Hindi Film Industry in the 50s. He was born in Jalandhar, Punjab, in 1920. He appeared in over 200 films and marked his name in the industry with his fabulous acting. He was the first cast in the movie "Jai Shankar" in 1951, and the then famous director, Ishwarlal, directed the film. Brahm Bhardwaj had a younger brother named Arun, known for his work in film production. He came to Mumbai at the age of 32 in search of work. One of his daughters was Kavita Bhardwaj, who resides in England.
