Lapchen Lepcha was born and brought up in Sikkim. Lapchen completed his education at the National School of Drama (NSD). Before landing in the film industry, he worked in theatres. He used to be the designer and director of the stage plays. He designed and directed the "Tendong Lho Rum Faat" stage play at Sikkim Theatre Training Center ( NSD) on December 11, 2018. For the same, he was also highlighted in the newspaper Sikkim Chronicle. He has played a small role in The Last Hour (Indian TV series) on Amazon Prime Video, released in 2021. He played the role of Constable Raj in that short movie.
