Shrikant Moghe

Shrikant Moghe was an Indian theater and film actor born in 1929. He worked in several Marathi and Hindi movies and plays. Born and brought up in Kirloskarwadi, near Sangli, Maharashtra, India, Srikant, suffering from age-related illness, died in his Pune residence on 6th March 2021. Featured in several films like “ Gammat Jammat, Madhuchandra, Umbartha, and Sinhaasan,” his works were in Hindi and Marathi. He showcased his talent in films as well as on the stage. As a theater artist, he was known for various Marathi plays like “Tuje Aahe Tujapashi, Varyavarchi Varaat, and Lekure Udand Jali.” For his excellent stage performances, the Maharashtra Government awarded him with the “Natavarya Prabhakar Panashikar Rangabhoomi Puraskar” in 2015.
