He is currently the Chairperson and Professor at the International Projects Division in the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). He has authored the popularly prescribed textbooks on International Marketing. Rakesh Mohan Joshi has been an erudite student since his schooling. He was an ardent lover of international business strategies and entrepreneurship. This resulted in him securing the Gold Medal in the EMIT - Executive Masters in International Trade, IIFT. He is inquisitive about the intercontinental trade policies and their implications and is a professor for the same across continents like Asia and Africa.

Rakesh Mohan Joshi has been the Chief Resource Person in conducting Capacity Building Programmes in several countries like Vietnam, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, etc. He was a contributor in establishing a Pan-African Institute of Foreign Trade in Uganda as well. Dr. Rakesh Mohan Joshi has completed his M. Sc. (First Division) from the Karnal National Dairy Research Institute and an MBA from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He completed EMIT in IIFT and later was endowed with a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Rajasthan. Subsequently, he received a four-year scholarship from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Rakesh Mohan Joshi’s achievements include getting a full scholarship for EEPCL from Harvard Business School, obtaining a gold medal from the prestigious IIFT, being a Lead Auditor for British Standard Institute in the UK, and the list is on.

He has also acquired a four-year scholarship from Rajasthan Co-Operative Dairy Federation. Rakesh Mohan Joshi also received the National Talent Search Scholarship during his high school years. He conducted Capacity Building Programmes on International Business in African countries, including Ethiopia, Botswana, South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, Mauritius, Sudan, Burkina Faso, Egypt, and Seychelles.

Prof. Joshi attended National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal for his Master of Science/ Technology, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur for Master of Business Administration, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi for Executive Masters in International Trade and the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur for Doctor of Philosophy in Management. Prof. Joshi has been awarded and has received many Scholarships; He was awarded IIFT's Gold Medal in Executive Masters in International Trade (EMIT) for securing the first position. He was the Lead Auditor at British Standard Institute in the United Kingdom.

He received a full scholarship for EEPCL from Harvard Business School. He made it to a Scholarship for two years of Post-graduation from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research's Junior Fellowship. He got the scholarship for four years of graduation from Rajasthan Co-operative Dairy Federation. He picked the scholarship for four years of graduation from the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan T.W.F. Scholarship.

He scored a scholarship for four years of graduation from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research’s Scholarship. National Rural Talent Search Scholarship for three years during IX, X, and XIth standards also got into his pocket. He wrote books like International Business in 2009 and International Marketing in 2005. He has supervised research and training programs in different countries related to globalization, International Trade, and Marketing for entrepreneurs, Businesspersons, exporters, government officials, corporate executives, and diplomas.
