The young boy attracted a lot of eyeballs with his splendid performance in the movie. He belongs to the city of Pune and is an aspiring cricketer. Digvijay was at a cricket academy in Mumbai when the crew of the film Kai Po Che arrived with their recording cameras and recorded the batting shots of about 6-7 boys, of which Digvijay was a part.

After a few days of this, the family of the boy was satisfied and told that the makers of the film wished to cast Digvijay in their project. Initially, the family was not too sure as they knew that their child had only one passion and that was cricket, and the entire family was pretty serious regarding his career in the sport.

They had also shifted their home to Pune in search of better facilities for Digvijay’s training in cricket. When they heard of the film offer, their perception was that the process of shooting would digress Digvijay from cricket and make him lose focus. Once they got to know that the character that Digvijay was supposed to portray had a lot to do with cricket, they agreed.

Moreover, an assurance that his shots would take place during his summer vacations and his studies would not suffer, gave them confidence. Keeping these factors in mind and seeing Digvijay’s interest in the role they agreed to let him accept the offer and act in Kai Po Che.

He shot for the film in his summer vacation in the year 2012. His performance was widely appreciated, and he gained recognition from the film. He continues to take his coaching for cricket, which he began when he was in class 6.
