Abhishek Mrityunjay Pandey

Abhishek Mrityunjay Pandey is a cinematographer and camera operator working in the Bollywood film industry. Born and brought up in Banaras, Abhishek was fascinated with cameras since his childhood. He used to shoot short films of his surroundings and also became a master photographer. He had set his mind to follow his passion. In 2007, Abhishek graduated from Indira Gandhi Vidyalay in general studies and started working on his passion. He started his career as a photographer, he would do shoots for wedding functions, parties and events locally and in regionally.

In 2013, he started working for Crew Valley production and Mumbai Jockers craft as an assistant cinematographer. His first project was working with Vishal Rathore as his assistant in the movie ‘A Daughter’s Dream’. The movie was lauded by audiences and critics alike, especially for the direction and the amazing sets and overall visuals of the movie which Abhishek was a part of creating.

In 2014 he worked with Sunshine Productions Ltd. as the assistant cinematographer, where he worked on many TV serials. In the same year, he was the focus puller in Buddha: Raajaon Ka Raaja. He was then hired by Contiloe Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. to work on the super-hit TV serial ‘Adalat’. Starring Ronit Roy, Abhishek was the chief camera operator in this serial. Abhishek went on to work for more than 80 episodes.

Since then, Abhishek went on to work for major studios and production houses like T-Series, Rowdy Rascal, Arshlan Khan productions, Vinod Chopra films ltd. and many others. During these stints he has worked as an assistant cinematographer, focus puller and chief camera operator for shows and films like Maha Kumbh, Agent Raghav on Sony TV, Hate Story 3 (where he worked as an assistant cinematographer and focus puller both), Devanshi, 24: India, 1921, Raid, Lupt, Mauli and many others. Over his career, Abhishek has successfully worked over 50 projects and 100 ad films. His latest work was on mini-series called Raktanchal in 2020. He also has numerous other projects lined up for himself and he is currently working for YRF studios.
