Indian Idol is a platform, which has given the country mellifluent voices. One such voice which enthralled the nation was the young Punjabi lad named Devendra Pal Singh, who with his innocent looks and soulful melody took away the viewers by their feet. This 22- year-old Punjabi Munda was hailed from Ludhiana in Punjab, where he spent his childhood and completed his studies. He started singing at the age of 6 and had been learning classical music under the guidance of his music guru, Ustaad Ji.

He belongs to a family of music lovers, who supported him throughout his musical journey. Unlike other children of his age, he doesn't like to hang out with his friends. Instead, he spends a lot of time playing the harmonium and practiced his music. Apart from singing, he enjoys mimicking the people he knows and entertains his friends. At such a tender age, his hard work, discipline, and devotion made him achieved par excellence, which remains a dream at large for many aspirants. It was his keenness and passion, which made the music legends, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle, appreciate his skills in music.

He was a runner-up in the 6th season of the Indian Idol and this successful venture boosted his efforts to reach the top. Devendra’s favorite actress is Katrina Kaif because of her brilliant acting skills and gorgeous face. He also like Hrithik Roshan’s dancing skills. Ustaad Ji’s appreciation to Devendra’s talent boosted his confidence, since the guru master doesn’t easily get impressed. One thing Devendra doesn't like about himself is that, he takes things to his heart and gets tensed easily. Post Indian Idol, he already released his single track album entitled 'Duke' in 2016.
