Diwakar Sharma is a young boy from Delhi who was 1st runner up in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs in October 2006.

Diwakar was born in 1993 to Sri Sushil Sharma, who is an engineer by profession and Mrs. Alka Sharma who was a doctor. At the age of one, it was confirmed that the child Diwakar is visually impaired and he will have no vision for life. His mother Alka left her profession to care for her visually impaired child and it was she who identified that the child is a natural singer at the age of 2, when he could sing some of the classical numbers without any fault. Diwakar was given formal training in music and he turned out to be great singer. He has won a number of competitions and contest and has performed before great dignitaries like Ex president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam,ex Vice President Sri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat etc.

Diwakar was 13 years old when he participated in Sa Re ga Ma Pa li'l Champs and his singing was an instant hit due to his intelligent and talented singing. In the middle of the show he was eliminated by the decision of the judges but he could successfully make a come back with popular vote of the public which showed a great affection for the child. And the great come back staged by him resulted in his success as 1st runner up of the show. The winner of the show was Sanchita from Kolkata.

Diwakar studies in DPS RK Puram and wishes to become a professional singer in future.
