Nikia Nelson is a Costume Designer. She grew up in Southern New Jersey, Philadelphia. Nelson attained a bachelor's degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology.Her career began in magazine publishing, particularly in the fashion and photo departments.In 2002, she entered the field of costume designing with her debut in Brian Sloan's Bumping Heads. In 2005, Brian Solan assigned her to WTC View, starring Michael Urie, Jeremy Beazlie, and Lucas Papaelias.
In 2006, she designed a costume in The House Is Burning. Holger Ernst directed the film, which featured renowned artists such as John Diehl,
