Mahendra Singh Dhoni Ak MS Dhoni or Dhoni was born at Ranchi in Jharkhand established in the east corner of India. He did his schooling from DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir where he was intensely interested in football and badminton. MS Dhoni comes from a common family. His father Pan Singh served for MECON and his mother Devki Devi is a housewife. He has an elder brother named Narendra Singh Dhoni, who is a politician, and a sibling, Jayanti Gupta, who is a lecturer. In the 1997/98 period, his excellent performances in the Vinoo Mankad Under-16 Championship captivated the selector’s eye. He was chosen to the Bihar under 19 squad the very next session. His enhanced batting and keeping appearances led him to be picked to the Bihar Ranji Trophy team for the year 1999-2000 period. He made his debut facing the Assam team by securing an unbeaten score of 68. In November 2005, while following a stiff target of 299, he made 183 off 145 balls to lead India to win. He won the title of Man of that Series award for top scoring in the match with 346 runs. In the 2007 World Cup, he could only add 29 runs in the 3 matches with two bows which provided to the success in the group stages. Again Dhoni jumped back with remarkable performances which led him to be named as the captain of the Indian T20 team in September 2007. He quickly made an impression as he led the team to acquire the inaugural World Cup T20 in South Africa. He was made the skipper of the ODI team in the year 2007 and the Test team in 2008. In the year 2009, he totalled 1198 runs in 24 innings at an aggregate of 70.43 to be the greatest scorer of the year in ODI’s. He has been a member of the ICC World ODI XI for 6 years in a series from 2008 to 2013.

He has been bestowed the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna which is the largest sports honour given by the Government of India in 2008. He is the ambassador for more than 15 products by 2013 and is one of the most commercial players in the world. In 2013, he was summarised to be the 16th highest paid sportsman in the globe with annual profits of $31 million. He is one of the most prosperous Indian sportsmen that the world has ever witnessed. In 2010, Mahi hitched with Sakshi, his childhood beloved.

Sakshi was his classmate while he used to study at DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamali, and she then did Hotel Management in Kolkata and serving at The Taj Bengal as a trainee. They have understood each other all their lives and their parents are close friends as well. Sakshi’s family is essential to Dehradun in Uttarakhand and it’s said that their family went back once her father parted from his service. Despite the point that they had a very short meeting friends of Dhoni convinced interviewers that the marriage was properly designed and produced.

In February of 2015, the two welcomed a baby girl called Ziva. In 2016, a movie named M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story will be released which will be based on the life of Dhoni. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput will be portraying the character of Captain. The movie will also be released in various languages like Telugu, Tamil, and Marathi.
