Gajendra Singh is a famous director and television producer. He hails from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. He is a Limca Book record holder for the largest running musical T.V. serial Antakshari; the serial was telecasted on Zee T.V., and it was on air for 10 continuous years. He has also worked for shows like Amul Music Ka Maha Muqqabla and Saregama etc. He was an integral part of the Zee T.V. Television channel since 2006.

But after 2006, he left Zee T.V. and started to work for Saaibaba Telefilms which is his own company. It is a media company which has interests in different aspects of entertainment such as game shows, and dance shows. They also search for new talents and events etc. With this, Gajendra Singh started a one of its kind musical cum talent show called STAR Voice Of India on Star Plus. This competition ended in July 2008. Gajendra Singh is a staunch defender of this reality dance and music shows. He has also worked for many other regional and some big named national television channels such as Sab TV, Doordarshan, and Sony Entertainment Television Asia.

In October 2012, he was arrested by the Mumbai police as he had not attended a court meeting. The court meeting was of a cheating and non-payment case which was filed against him in 2011 at Kanpur. He has also run shows like Chote Ustad on Star Plus, to promote singing and to search for upcoming children with talent as he has a passion for searching for fresh faces and giving them their first chance on the big stage.

He has been nominated for Indian Telly Jury Award for Best Editor (non-fiction). Gajendra Singh is quite active on social media platforms like Twitter, and he has close to thousand followers on his Twitter account.
