Hindi Director Kireet Khurana

Kireet Khurana is an ambitious filmmaker, ad-film director, storyteller and animator. Kireet has done over 400 ad-film directions and 12 short films. Kireet was born on 25 October 1967 in Mumbai, India. Bhimsain, his father was an Indian animation pioneer. He was exposed to the animation films at the age of six. He completed his schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School and got a BA Degree with major in economics at Mumbai University. He went to Sheridan College in Canada to achieve honours in animation filmmaking. He established Climb Media and later, he came up with his animation wing called 2nz Animation Co.

He started it in 1996 and has done 300 commercials including Cadbury, Coca-Cola, and Kellogg’s under 2nz Animation Co. The company created Adventures of Chhota Birbal which was the first Indian character to be featured on Cartoon Network in the year 2003. Kireet is the creative head of the movie. Kireet was the animation director of different movies and TV series like Lok Gatha (1992), Locked (1997), Trade (1997), Shaadi Ke Laddoo (2004), Hum Tum Click to look into! >> Read More... The movie has won seven different awards including Filmfare Critics Award. Kireet has received awards for his animated movies like Trade, Mahagiri, O, Chhota Birbal, Shaadi Ka Laddoo, Sand Castle, etc. Kireet has produced many films for public service campaigns. He produced four short films for the Childline India Foundation. One of the films, “ Komal Bio coming soon... >> Read More... ” was awarded the FICCI Best Animated Frames Award in the year 2014. The movie was about child sexual abuse and was much appreciated. At the INFOCOM-ASSOCHAM EME Awards in 2013, the film Sisters about child marriage won the Social Film Award and the Best Public Service Award. Kireet has received National Awards for his animated projects like Trade, O, Mahagiri.
