Vishwas Patil is an Indian author, director, and historian. He was born on November 28 in the year 1959. His place of birth was Nerle within the Kolhapur district in Maharashtra. His star sign is Sagittarius. He is one of the highest rated Marathi writers and is held in high regard for his work and his views. He has completed his Masters in English Literature and even holds a degree in Law. He left his job as a Civil servant to pursue a career in art, direction, and writing. He uses his experience as a civil service officer to weave beautiful stories. One of which is “A dirge for the damned.” Vishwas became a strong proponent of fair compensation of those who had to be rehabilitated due to construction of dams.

The sad plight of the villagers compelled him to narrate their story and give them a voice. It was the harrowing conditions and the petty reimbursement that the resettled people received that moved him the most. Another one of his critically acclaimed work is Not Gone With The Wind, which was a creative piece of literature crafted with confidence to capture art. He managed to blend Bollywood with Hollywood and journeyed through the history of art from Italian, British, and French times. The book struck a perfect balance between the art of paintings and art of writing, and it explored the works of literary greats like Shakespeare and Dostoevsky.
