Trisha Shetty is known for her activism in India for gender equality. She is the founder and CEO of SheSays. She was born on 16 September 1990 in Mumbai, India. She completed her graduation in political science and Psychology from Jai Hind College. Then she again achieved her degree in Law from the University of Mumbai. She got selected as an Obama Foundation Scholar to complete a one-year specialised training on education and mentorship program at Columbia University. In August 2015 she founded SheSays, a Youth-led movement for gender equality through a multidimensional approach. She was sexually abused in her childhood and that is the main reason for Shesays' foundation.

Shetty was announced as one of the 17 youth leaders for the inaugural class of UN Youth Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth. She holds the leadership of ending gender inequality and injustice by 2030. In 2018 she was selected to join the inaugural Young Leaders India France Club. She was one among 13 Indians. The main aim of The Club Young Leaders India- France is to promote Indo- French bilateral relations. In June 2018 she became Queen's Young Leader. She was inducted by Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace. Shetty was the co-contributor of the Sunday Times bestseller, Feminists Don't Wear Pink (2018). It is a collection of short stories by activists and female leaders.

She also assisted Michel Obama with the launching of the Global Girls Alliance on the occasion of International Girl child day. She was the vice president of the Paris Peace Forum Steering Committee. Additionally, she joined Lancet-Chatham as a Health Commissioner to improve the health of the population after COVID-19. The Commission aims to prevent pandemics, reduce non-communicable diseases, and protect natural environments. Later she joined the Global Advisory Board of UNLEASH, founded in 2016. Developing solutions to the SDGs and building capacity for young people all around the world is the only aim of the Board. In 2022 she joined the former Prime Minister of Sweden, Mr. Stefan Löfven. She received various awards such as Vogue India Woman of the Year, Forbes 30 Under 30 Queen's Young Leader Award, and UN Young Leader for the Sustainable Development Goals.
