Later, she got her Bachelor’s degree in Political science from Ramjas College and studied cinema at the prestigious Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata.

She started as a production manager in production houses and went on to work as an assistant director at Blue Mango Films in April 2016. Over the years, she has worked in various feature films and short films like BumBoo (2016), Tuktuki (2022), and Black Sunshine Baby (2023). In March 2020, Ishita Mehta worked as an assistant producer in Frames Per Second Films and became the producer in Pink Owl Productions in July 2022. On the personal front, Ishita Mehta lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
