Saleem Safi is Pakistani journalist born in Mardan Peshawar. He has done his education from Peshawar University, Pakistan. He is famous for giving his diplomatic opinion on every political issue. He has been surrounded by controversies in his career. But no doubt this person has some talent in him, no miracles happen when you see a person growing from student activist to now hosting all current affair of the country. He started being a student political activist from Islami Jamiat Taliban where he studied jihad from Afghanistan. Resources say he was always made fun of his infirm body. But he did not make this affect his work and kept being focused on his work. He cited many times he wanted to be a journalist from the very beginning of his college days, and he is glad he is pursuing that. He started as a local journalist in Mardan. From Mardan to Peshawar he struggled and strived hard to make his place in journalism. Those efforts came to fruit when he got a chance to be an editor and columnist KPK daily Mashriq.

Indeed, he wrote so many impressive columns but remained diplomatic as always. He began to increase his network while practicing journalism which helped for him. Contacts with famous politicians and major people of the country and foremost his experience in his work bagged him job in PTV as an analyst. He was again in controversies for being favouring his near ones as an analyst. There were many controversies led to him. They say Saleem Sharif never revealed any of such relations of him with any politicians they is just assumed by people. Columns by him are seen to be mostly in Urdu. After PTV, he is currently handling a talk show called ‘Jigra’ on Geo TV. He is considered to be the expert on the issues such as Taliban, Afghanistan. Hameed Gul got featured in one of his episode of ‘Jigra’ and was revealed that he took part in Afghanistan jihad.

He wrote famous books on social issues of the country and these books were read in anticipation to know more about social blunders of the country. He wrote books like ‘Afghanistan’, ‘Taliban’, ‘Usama Aur Pakistan Ki Deeni Juma’aton ka Kirdar’.
