Smeeta Chakrabarti

Smeeta Chakrabarti is an experienced Indian Television journalist whose career in television production and management spans over 20 years. She completed her Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) History (Honours) from St. Stephen’s College, then pursued Msc in television, radio, and film from S.I. In 2007, she was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of NDTV Lifestyle Limited and launched India’s first lifestyle channel – NDTV Good Times, with her team while also guiding the company’s strategy. Smeeta took the role of President – Revenue for NDTV from 2012 to 2017, where she was responsible for developing overall business development strategies.

She managed the sales functions across all four network channels to maximize revenues for the NDTV network value proposition. Smeeta then became Managing Director of an exciting new e-commerce venture backed by NDTV for all things wedding-related- Bandbaajaa.com in 2017. Throughout her career, she has contributed to several innovative and award-winning programmes, including The World this Week, The News Tonight, and JiMantriJi. Smeeta has been a successful operational and business expert, and in doing so, she has received many awards. Starting January 2018, Smeeta has been an Independent Consultant at NDTV Limited.
