Hasan Kamal is a renowned lyricist from India. He was born on January 1, 1943, in the city of Lucknow, located In India. He is a lyricist, songwriter, poet, columnist, journalist. He won the Filmfare award for his spectacular lyrics in 1985 for the legendry song Aaj Ki Aawaz. He pursued his education from Lucknow University. He began his career as a Sub-editor in the Blitz weekly. He became the editor of the Urdu Blitzin and raised the number of copies from 13000 to almost 100000 in a week. He is also a columnist in the Inquilab, Rozanama Rashtriya Shara, Etmaad, Al-Bagh. His columns were also translated into different languages like Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, English. He is a popular poet in Urdu literature. He worked as a writer for the scripts of TV serials and films.

He made his debut with the movie “ Nikah Nikah is a Pakistani television series aired on 4 >> Read More... ” in the year 1982. B.R. Chopra directed the film. He wrote almost five songs for Ravi(composer). The super hit songs “Dil Ke Arman ” and “Dil Ke Yeh Arzoo Thih” were written by him. He became a star overnight and gained massive success. He then wrote the lyrics for “Aaj Ki Awaz.” He received his first Filmfare award for his track. He wrote songs for movies like Nikaah in 1982, Mazdoor in 1983, Insaaf Kaun Karega in 1884, Aaj Ke Awaz in 1984, Tawaif in 1985, Dahleez in 1986, Kirayadar in 1986, yateem in 1988, Kasam suhaag Ki in 1989, Shamkara in 1991, Teri Payal Meri Geet in1992, Kanoon in 1993, Anwar in 2007, Khela in 2008. He received the coveted Nehru Cultural Association of UP award in 1976. He was given the Hindi Urdu Sahitya award in 1988. He was also appreciated with the Film Puraskar Ahirwad Award in 1986.

He was also blessed to have the Maulana Abdul Azad award for literary works in 1996, the Arun-Amin award for the most famous poet of the year in 1990, and the prestigious Sur Singer Dr. V.D. Arora awards for Nikah in 1983, Awam in 1987 and Teri Payal Meri Geet in 1992. He continued to blow away the minds of his fans with his deep lyrics. All of his works had achieved massive positive responses from the audiences. He received numerous accolades for his immense contribution to the entertainment industry. He was very dedicative in his career. His ability to express strong emotions in words and reach out to massive public platforms was mind-blowing. All of his works were great blockbusters and were loved by the listeners.
