Krishnudu

Krishnudu or also known as Krishna is an Indian film actor, known in the Telugu film industry. He was born as Alluri Krishnam Raju in Rajolu, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh in India. His father works as a farmer. Initially, his parents disagree with his decision to pursue an acting career. But after some time, they managed to accept things and were both happy for their son’s success. He moved to Bangalore after schooling to pursue a diploma in Automobile Engineering although his real passion is to enter the filmdom. When he arrived in Hyderabad, he trained in a film institute.

However, things didn’t come out as planned. He had an accident and injured his legs, making him immobilize for two years. He gained weight during those times and decided to go to Mumbai, where he trained in Fashion Photography. When he returned to Hyderabad in 1999, he established his own studio called The Faces. In 2003, he worked in films like Appudappudu and Gangotri. He also worked in some of Puri Jagannath’s films. Since then, he got interested in film directing and scripting and thus became an Assistant Director to Rasool Ellore’s Bhageeratha in 2005.

Meanwhile, he starred in a short film entitled Che Foot Neeche. Director Priyadarshini Ram saw his performance and cast him in the 2006 Telugu film, Manodu. Krishnudu’s breakthrough came after his appearance in Puri Jagannadh’s Pokiri in 2006. But his debut film was the 2005 romantic film, Modati Cinema, directed by Kuchipudi Venkat. He got his big break in the Telugu musical film, Happy Days Happy Days is a Telugu-language show on ETV Telegu >> Read More... (2007). The television serial, Yuva, also groomed him to become a better artist. In 2008, he starred in the critically and commercially acclaimed comedy film, Vinayakudu. This film won the Second Best Feature Film at the Nandi Awards.

In the following year, Vinayakudu’s sequel entitled Villagelo Vinayakudu was released. This film ran for 75 days and fared well at the box office.
