Loha Singh was an ordinary figure in the city of Kanpur who was engaged in stealing electricity. But little did he know that his profession would land him in the film industry one day. Quite surprisingly, the actor even got to sign a documentary film based on electricity theft in his town.

Quite interestingly, the team of documentary filmmakers were in the town of Kanpur and spotted Loha Singh stealing electrify, and caught every move of Loha Singh on camera. But Loha felt that the team was from media and was doing a sting operation in his town and wanted to highlight the same in some TV channel. But later on, the filmmaker took him on his board and told frankly that they were keen to make a movie with Loha Singh. Thus, a film titled ' Katiyabaaz Click to look into! >> Read More... ' (electricity thief), was made based on the script given by Fahad Mustafa. The storyline of this documentary film ‘'Katiyabaaz' was in the backdrop of some thief like Loha Singh, who used to supply illegal power connections to the city. Loha Singh not only played an important character in the movie, but also became an inspiration for the whole concept of the film, which was shot on a budget of just rupees one crore. The shooting was completed within one year.

This documentary film was screened in the Berlin Film Festival and it was even premiered in other international film festivals. Thus, the film became the biggest surprise for Singh. Not only did he become an actor, but even the script could be counted as a biopic documentary on an electricity thief. Later, in August 2014, the film got a big commercial release by Phantoms Films.
