He tailed it with supporting parts in other legendary films such as Sombhu Mitra's Jagte Raho as Doctor, V. Shantaram's Jhanak Payal Baaje as Sadhu, Raj Kapoor's Shree 420 as Gambler, Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Anari as Evil Priest and Bimal Roy's Devdas as Street Singer. Palsikar worked in film Kanoon, a court dramatization including a murder case by B. R. Chopra as Kaalia in 1960. His outstanding performance as a supporting actor earned him Filmfare Awards for the first time. The Hindu newspaper commented on his brilliant acting in the second half of motion picture.
