Suvinder Vicky is Punjabi film actor, who played the main lead role as Joginder, in Gurvinder Singh’s 2015 Punjabi film, Chauthi Koot (The Fourth Direction). He had done a good job in this film which is set in the backdrop of the 80s. It revolves around the happenings in rural Punjab prior to and after Operation Blue Star. The movie dealt with the plight of the ordinary individuals under such circumstances.
Suvinder Vicky played the protagonist rural farmer Joginder Singh in the movie. Suvinder was the only professional artist in the whole cast and the others were non-actors. It gained substantial critical acclaim and was premiered at the prestigious Cannes in 2015 and also garnered the coveted National award for the Best Punjabi film. The film also got few other awards. It was a realistic film and was appreciated a lot by many critics.
He was also cast in Mandeep Kumar’s Punjabi action courtroom drama film, Kaptaan (2016). Suvinder will play as Avtar Singh Gill in Namrata Singh Gujral’s upcoming Indian-American film, 5 Weddings.
