Vijay Verma is an Indian actor who has quickly made a mark in the Bollywood film industry with his genuine acting skills. Hailing from the city of Hyderabad he has been seen in many popular movies like most recently he starred as one of the villains in Pink. Vijay entered into the acting world in 2003, when he joined a theater group in Hyderabad named SutradharUnder the watchful eyes of Vinay Verma (the head of the group and the casting director), Vijay acted in many theatre plays. He soon enrolled in a three-month basic acting course. He learned a lot about the value of time and the necessity of discipline which in turn helped him in his acting career.

“Kisi Aur Ka Sapna”, a comedy satire, was his first theater play. In his very next play, he got the responsibility of portraying the role of Gandhi. He still wanted to get a formal education and applied to FTII in 2004 for their acting degree. Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on his side, and he had to wait a whole year to re-apply and eventually he got the admission in the Institute and went to Pune as a result. FTII was a land of opportunities and knowledge for him and he grabbed the opportunity with open hands. A complete family man, who had never experienced the hardships of a hostel life before, got to explore life solo and studied hard to attain success after that.

He completed his post-graduate degree and shifted base to the city of dreams called Mumbai in the hope of getting some acting work in 2008. He primarily worked on a weekly telecast Doordarshan show to meet his expenses in the city. He did a short film called "Shor”, it was critically acclaimed and was rewarded in the form of MiAAC Best Short Film Award. It was directed by the Bollywood director duo Raj and DK. He has gone on to star in movies like 'Monsoon Shootou't and 'Gang of Ghosts'.
