Born in the year 1987, Girija Oak has worked in Marathi films as well as in television. She also had a brief stint with Hindi films. Her acting in Shor in the City and gained her recognition. Marathi actor is the father of Girija Oak. Her mother is a pharmacist. Having pursued a business management degree she later got associated with a theater workshop and tested waters in commercials. Girija entered the Marathi film industry with the 2010 flick Manini.

It is having its roots both in Mumbai and Pune. Chintoo, Pune 52 and Champions are some of the movies produced by this production house.

Girija had tried her luck in a Marathi serial and she enacted the role of Manu in the serial Lajja. She became a notable personality by working in this serial. She did the role of a youngster who gets to see the dangerous side of cities. Her onscreen chemistry with in the serial was very much appreciated.
