She was born on December 2, 1986, to a Pahari-Punjabi household in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She is the cousin of the late Indian film actress, Divya Bharti of Bobbili Raja fame.

She started her career as a model. At the age of 16, she moved to Delhi and studied Merchandising at the National Institute of Fashion Technology. She used to be one of the highest paid models in Delhi. Later, she moved to Mumbai and became a jury at the Miss Kerala beauty pageant. She met director Priyadarshan during the event, who later cast her in the song Aila Re Aila from the 2010 Hindi comedy drama film, Khatta Meetha. Since then, there is no looking back.

In 2011, she made a special appearance in Venkat Prabhu’s Tamil black comedy action-heist film, Mankatha. Arora debuted in Indra Kumar’s Bollywood comedy film, Grand Masti. In 2014, she bagged a role in Ayush Raina’s horror film, Haunting of Bombay Mills, along with Sachin Joshi in the lead roles. She  debuted in the Malayalam film industry in the year 2015, through the spy action film, Lailaa O Lailaa. In the same year, she starred in Ram Gopal Varma’s bilingual film, Mogali Puvvu.
