Neelam Upadhyaya, a native from Gujarat, is yet another admired face of the south film industry who initially worked with MTV’s Style Check after her portfolio was selected. Later she was offered many films by many filmmakers. However, she made her acting debut in a Telugu film “Mr.7” which did not turn successful on box office and got mixed reviews. 

Neelam has worked in both Tamil and Telugu films. She got an opportunity to work in first 3D Telugu film with Action 3D. Later she got two Tamil films, ”Unnodu Oru Naal” and “ Om Shanti Om Click to look into! >> Read More... ” opposite Srikanth. “Om Shanti Om” is a ghost film, and Unnodu Oru Naal was highlighted for its boldness.

However, the commercial graph for both these films was regressive and could not attract the audience much. This young lady was offered many films by prompted film makers and gradually she is making a step to achieve great heights.

Neelam Upadhyaya is an Indian actress who has predominantly worked in the South Indian film industry. She has played several lead roles in popular commercial movies. Neelam was born and raised in the Mumbai metropolis. She studied at the MMK College of Commerce and Economics, after which she began pursuing her career in modeling and photography. She took up courses at the FX School of Photography after graduation and developed her portfolio as a fashion model. In 2010, her career as an actress took off with the Telugu film industry. Neelam was offered a role in the movie ‘Seivathu Sariye.’ While the production of the film was delayed, she made an appearance on MTV’s Style Check, which gave her a National Platform to showcase her skills.

Soon after, she became sought after in the movie industry, and she made her debut as an actress with the 2012 movie, ‘Mr. 7.’ She went on to perform in Tollywood’s first 3D film, ‘Action 3D’ in 2013. This was followed by her stint with the Tamil film sector during which she acted in ‘Unnodu Oru Naal (2013)’ and the remake of the popular Hindi movie, ‘Om Shanthi Om (2015).’ She also continued her work in Tollywood during this period. She was quoted saying, language is never a barrier to film making when one has the right kind of dedication.

Neelam hosts a lifestyle and beauty blog which she has titled ‘NeelamTalks.’ She conducts various shoots and photography sessions as a part of developing unique fashion based content.
