Priyanka Kothari is an Indian film actress, who has acted in multiple language movies like Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil. She is also known by her character’s name, Amoga, from her first film ‘Jay Jay’. She is the daughter of a chemical businessman and was born on 30th November 1983 in Varanasi and she aspired to become something in the chemical research field and earned a bachelor’s degree from Delhi University in Chemistry.

However, she started doing modelling after her college and appeared in some advertisements and video songs as well. It was actor Madhavan, who recommended her for auditioning for his next movie ‘Jay Jay’ after seeing her photos. It was in the year 2003 and ‘Jay Jay’ was a huge breakthrough in her acting career. She started her Bollywood career with the 2005 film ‘’ and another movie directed by , ‘’, followed the same year. ‘James’ changed the image she had till then and she became a sex icon after that movie and the movie turned out to be the worst career choice she ever made in her life.

Priyanka Kothari failed to find any significant films or roles later on, and she acted mostly in movies made by Raam Gopal Varma and most of those films were unsuccessful. She tried her luck in sandalwood with the movie ‘Raaj – The Showman’ but couldn’t be successful. Her only Telugu film, the Balakrishna starrer ‘Okka Magaadu’, was a big flop and her last release was the Bollywood movie ‘Love you crazy girl’ in the year 2014 and that movie also bombed in the box office.

With the birth name as Priyanka Kothari, Nisha Kothari is an Indian actress as well as a model. She was initially known as Amoga and then changed her name to Nisha Kothari. She has worked in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. She is a regular star of Ram Gopal Varma movies and is labeled a sex symbol.

Nisha Kothari was born on 30th November 1983 in Varanasi. She is of Marwari Jain origin. She holds a degree in Chemistry and got training for six years in Indian dance Kathak. She also took up acting classes. After completing her college studies, Kothari ventured into the advertisement field. She appeared in a remix and got her major break in the Tamil movie JJ. Actor Madhavan was instrumental in introducing her into the Tamil film industry. He saw some of her photos and she was auditioned for the film. She was known as Amoga then. She debuted in Hindi with the 2005 venture Sarkar and later acted in James. The film James made her a sex symbol. After doing Killer, sharing screen space with , she also worked in not so important films. Shiva, Aag and are the films in which she acted and which are directed by Ram Gopal Verma. She also worked in the film Agyat. With not so successful career in Bollywood she worked in some Kannada and Telugu films. Now she has two films in the offing.

Kothari is involved in the Asian Academy of Film & Television. During 2001 she appeared in the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week by walking the ramp.

Kothari is fluent in English, Marathi, Bengali, Hindi and Rajasthani. Her bold costumes and sexy numbers got her fame. However, she is yet to work in roles that define her career. Kothari has also worked in Bengali films.
