Ruthika is an Indian film actress. She made her debut in Tollywood with the movie ‘6 teens’ in 2001. She is an enthusiastic actress who made her entry at a very young age of 15. ‘6 Teens’ was a small budget movie and did not attract much audience. Her second movie was ‘Friend’ in 2002. The movie was a Kannada comedy and earned a very much appreciation from the critics as well audience. In the very same here she enacted in the movie ‘Girl Friend’. In 2003 came ‘Kaathegalu Saar Kaathegalu’ which was yet again a successful Kannada comedy film. Also came in ‘Laali Haadu’ which also earned positive reviews. It had actor Darshan and actress Ruthika and Abhirami as lead.

She played ‘Sarita’, second wife of Raghu. The film was a low budget and met with a low response. She enacted in another Telugu movie in the same year - ‘Xtra’. With the release of ‘Raakshasa’ in 2005, Ruthika was a well-known celebrity with many fans in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada cinema.

This movie won many awards at the Karnataka state film Award ceremony for the year 2004-2005. The vivacious actress is known for her bold and exuberant roles.She continued with her career and in 2006 came ‘Vikramarkudu'. This Telugu movie was a super hit.
