Sadhana Shivdasani was born in 1941 September 2nd and she was a well-known Indian actress in the 1960s as well as in the 1970s period. She is better known in this industry as Sadhana and she was a top star in the industry especially during this time period. She had a deep ambition to become an actress since she was at a young age, and while she was acting in her college play, some producers saw her and offered her a role to play in the first Sindhi film in India, which was ‘Abaana’ in the year 1958. Personally, Sadhana lived with her husband for 30 years, who tragically passed away due to Asthma. She is also credited with bringing the fashion of tight churidar kurta. This trend was followed by many of the actresses. In 2014, she made a rare and small public appearance for walking the ramp in a beautiful saree at a fashion show. This show was to support the cause of cancer and AIDS patients. She was nominated in Film fare awards for two times for the best actress in the movie Who Kaun Thi and Waqt. In 2002, she was awarded a lifetime achievement award by IIFA Awards. At her old age, she was involved in some cases and she suffered from illness. She also had surgery due to bleeding oral lesions. After this, she was also diagnosed with cancer, and she died on 25 December 2015 in Hinduja Hospital. She was hospitalized with a high fever. She was cremated at Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
