Ramchandra Purushottam Marathe was a Marathi music director. He was born in Pune on 23 October 1924. He has also worked as a singer, actor, and director. He is known as Pandit Ram Marathe. Ramchandra Marathe played the character of Krishna in the film, 'Gopal Krishna.' He has worked in some movies like‘Narsi Bhagat,’‘Aadmi,’‘Thokar,’ and ‘Manoos.’
His brother, Anant Purushottam Marathe, also worked as an actor. Ramchandra Marathe got his lessons of classical music from Master Krishnarao Phulambrikar,
