Kishore Sodha

Kishore Sodha, the "Trumpet King" of India. He was born in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh and moved to Ratlam as a five year old boy. His father Rai Singh was a bandmaster and led an orchestra of 150 musicians during the 1940s. Rai Singh was a father of 3 sons who were into music with Rajinder taking flute, Raj the soprano sax and violin and Kishore in Trumpet. In 1978, Kishore Sodha assisted Kishore Kumar on his live show. Kishore Sodha was soon spotted by RD Burman and was called to join his team as a trumpet player. Kishore Sodha's first time working with Pancham in Shalimar took 30 days of background recording. Sodha is more in tune with the musicality of Kalyanji, Anandji and Lakshmikant Pyarelal. The first song played by Kishore Sodha was 'Rote hue aate hain sab' in Muqaddar ka Sikandar, the popular Kishore Kumar track.
