Ninad Daithankar

Ninad Daithankar is a Musician and Santoor player. He is also proficient in playing Film and Classical Music. He comes from a family of musicians and has been playing Santoor over the years. His father Guru Dr. Dhananjay Daithankar is a Santoor maestro and his mother Dr. Swati Daithankar is a Bharatnatyam exponent. He started taking formal training from his father (Disciple of Pt. He completed his graduation and did an M.A. (Santoor) from Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Performing Centre with distinction. He has performed in many prestigious Music Festivals across India, including Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Solapur, Miraj, Karnataka, and many other places. He has also done duet performances with his father in Canada.

Ninad has also won many awards and has been honored at many fests. He got the Citi-NCPA scholarship for the year 2020-21. It was given to the Young classical musicians. He was honored by Pt. Suresh Talwalkar as well with the Ajay Bhakshi Smruti Puraskar. He also got the Indumati Kale Yuva Vadyavadak Puraskar by Ganwardhan (Pune). He believes that Indian Classical Music needs to be spread not only through performing in programs but also through teaching. That is how music will actually grow.
