Hindi Politician Sachin Pilot

Sachin Pilot is a charismatic politician and a member of the Indian National Congress. He has served as the Minister of Corporate Affairs for India between 2012 and 2014. Sachin was born in the city of Saharanpur located in Uttar Pradesh. He was born to the great politician Rajesh Pilot, who was the then leader of the Congress party and had also served as the Union Minister of India. Sadly, his father passed away in the year 2000. The native place of the Pilot family is the village Vaidpura, situated in Noida. He completed his schooling at Air Force Bal Bharati School in New Delhi. He then went on to obtain a Bachelors degree in Arts from the St. Stephen College of Arts in Delhi. Sachin then joined a diploma course in the field of marketing in The Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. For his post-graduation degree, he went to Philadelphia in the United States of America to study MBA at the Wharton School, affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, he joined the British Broadcasting Organization (BBC) in Delhi. After a short stint at this agency, he worked for two years at a multinational company called General Motors. At the young age of twenty-six Sachin Pilot became a member of the Indian Parliament. Later, he was also elected by the speaker of the Lok Sabha to be a part of its standing committee, a temporary group for organizing home affairs. Sachin became a Member of the Parliament by winning the Lok Sabha elections against Kiran Maheshwari, a contestant of Bharatiya Janata Party. He had won by a whooping margin of 76000 votes. In Parliament, he represented the Ajmer city of Rajasthan. He was appointed as the Union Minister of Affairs in the year 2012. In the same year, he was given the position of an Army officer in the territorial region. When interviewed about it Sachin said that he was following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, who had also had contacts with the Army and that he felt honored to have been born in this family. He stood for the Lok Sabha elections again in the year 2014 but was defeated by the then Member of Legislative Assembly, Sanwar Lal Jat, belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party. He had voiced his views against BJP saying that Rajasthan is in a complete mess because of them. Sachin has written a book on his father along with his sister Sarika Pilot titled ‘Rajesh Pilot: In Spirit Forever.’ Sachin got married in the year 2004 to Sara Abdullah, who is the daughter of the Ex-Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah. The couple has two kids; Aaran and Vehaan and the family is currently living in Ghaziabad.
