Ashim Sen

Ashim Sen had started off his career in the television industry as a researcher. His first show was ‘Horn Please Ok’ which gave him enough exposure to knowledge of multi-camera basics. The show was aired five days a week on satellite channel Home TV. The show was a learning pad for him and he worked for Home TV for one year and nine months. Later, he was associated with Sony Entertainment Television network where he joined primarily as a promo producer and later elevated to the position of Head of On-Air Promotions & Events.

In this position, he served the channel where he got involved in making program promos and thereby owning the satellite rights for broadcast of some exclusive events that was broadcast on Sony Entertainment channel. Under his guidance, the channel could revive its hope by exposing programs under the scanner of multi-camera productions. Ashim Sen was associated with the programme of Filmfare Awards (eight times) and Femina Miss India concert. After serving SET for over 9 years and eight months (March 1996- October 2005), Ashim Sen also served as an expertise to regional networks such as MAA TV or ETV Bangla channel. Soon Ashim managed to switch over to Milk Corporation Private Limited as a partner, creative & production head where he managed shows such as IIFA Awards (Star Plus), Zee Cine Awards and Wills India Fashion Week (Zee TV). Lux Style Awards and Femina Miss India and even Filmfare Awards ceremony for SET channel.

Besides arranging the telecast of events, he was also associated with non-fiction reality shows such as ‘Nach Baliye Season 3’ (Star plus), ‘Dancing Queen’ (Colors), ‘Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao' (Sony Entertainment) and many more shows. Ashim served Milk Corporation for five years and eight months (October 2004- May 2010). Soon, he switched as a freelancer and worked for five months on his own term. Currently, he serves as a director-cum-producer at MASEN Production Pvt. Ltd and he is engaged in Kapil Sharma’s TV show and even Zee 2016 Awards ceremony. He also served as an expertise for a Valentine Special program "Ishkiayon Dishkiayon" for Star TV channel.
