Ramesh Behl was an Indian film director and producer who has predominantly worked in Hindi Film Industry. He was well-known for his calm and helping nature. He has a keen interest in dramas and plays since his childhood. He also used to watch movies a lot. As a kid, he used to watch dramas and street plays held in his locality. He also used to love reading books and was a good reader. He also used to write short poems on various genes. Some of his poems were published in the newspaper. After completing his schooling, Ramesh Behl decided to study Literature.

He took arts as an additional subject in college. He used to work with his friends to make short films. After completing his college, he decided to enter Indian Film Industry. With all his experience in direction, he worked as an assistant director in various short films. In 1978, he worked as a director in the movie Kasme Vaade.
