Satish Pillangwad

Satish Pillangwad is a producer based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He predominantly works in the Bollywood industry. He is popularly known for producing a Marathi film called Razzakar. It was released in 2015 and the story was about the atrocities caused by the communal group Razzakars on the common people and activities when the struggle for Indian Independence and the Indian Government was spreading like fire across Marathwada, Telangana, and other part of Karnataka in 1947- 48. There were several brutal occurrences which took place in September 1948 but remained untold.

The film shows that the end of Hyderabad Mukti Sangram and Razzakars truly made India an Independent country in 1948. Vijay's father who is a farmer tries to threaten bureaucracy with self-immolation if the village's basic need for water is not fulfilled.

When the demands are not fulfilled, Vijay’s father sets himself ablaze before the villagers and the media. Vijay then dreamed that one day, he would talk to the bureaucracy face to face with a simple request that his village Badlapur should receive the government's attention to solve the water crisis. Vijay then participates in a kabaddi competition hoping to bring a change, but damages his rib and later dies. However, he wins the competition and his coach brings this fact to the public attention and the government finally agrees to supply water to the village for irrigation.
