Shiladitya Bora

Shiladitya Bora is a director, producer and film distributor. He has been the CEO of Drishyam Films for quite a few time, a production house that gave birth to very critically acclaimed movies such as “ Masaan Click to look into! >> Read More... ,” ” Dhanak Click to look into! >> Read More... ”(winner at Berlinale 2015) and “Urmika”(the winner at Sundance 2015) Shiladitya did his Engineering from L.D College of Engineering, Ahmadabad. But after that, he joined School of Cinema-Television, Los Angeles City College to pursue a career in Cinema. However, he didn’t like the course and eventually dropped out.

He then returned to India and went on to pursue his Post Graduation from Mudra Institute of Communications in Ahmadabad (MICA) in 2008. While at MICA he, along with his teammates founded an entertainment start-up known as Fulmarxx, and he was assigned as the CEO. He has conquered some of the biggest achievements at a very young age. He has successfully carried the distribution of more than 84 independent films. Shiladitya is known for working on high-quality content, which reaches across the worlds but yet engages the audiences within the country.

He has established PVR director’s rare, which is India’s leading indie release banner. His biggest success as a distributor till date is “ Court Click to look into! >> Read More... ,” which was India’s only submission in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 88th Annual Academy Awards, and thus won multiple awards. He has also successfully distributed and produced brilliant films such as “Masaan” and “Dhanak.” Shiladitya has many achievements under his belt. He won the MICA Award for Creative and Entrepreneurial Excellence in 2008. He has also won the “Star Entrepreneur Award “at 2nd International Innovation Summit in Mumbai.

He did his directorial debut with the Film titled, “Minefield.” The movie is a political thriller. The film was very critically acclaimed and has been a finalist in the Prestigious NFDC film Bazar Co-Production Market in2004.
