Yusuf Shaikh

Yusuf Shaikh has worked in several roles during his career which include roles of both a producer and a consultant. Shaikh has done his schooling from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan High School. He has  graduated in commerce from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai.

Shaikh has done his MBA from prestigious Newport University gaining a specialization in marketing and communications. During his college days, he started acquiring the knowledge about the film business and how things  go on in the industry.

He started learning the nuances of the film business from the most popular film market called Naaz Building in Mumbai. Shaikh’s credentials and accomplishments are highly commedable. He immediately mastered the skills to be a producer and has produced 3 films, and later, he entered the field of direction.

Shaikh has created an epic record in the film industry by distributing more than 50 films in a short period of 5 years.

During his exciting journey in the industry, he also experimented in the field of cinema exhibition and spawned a chain of 40 cinemas in Gujarat. In all these years of his career, Shaikh has worked with several distribution companies and contributed to their growth.

In the year 2002, he worked as a head at Digital Cinema. He then continued his profession as the Head of Distribution and Acquisition at Percept Picture Company, Mumbai. During his tenure as head of Percept Picture Company, he overlooked the production of many good films including Page 3, Malamaal weekly, Corporate, Hanuman, Rush and Kamal Dhamaal Malamaal. Shaikh’s career was reaching new heights in the industry of production and distribution, he became Chief Operations Officer at Maverick Production Private Limited.
