DJ Ma Faiza, also known as ‘The Mother of Electronica’ was born in Africa and raised in Britain. Her father was a Gujarati, and her mother was a Kutchi. She returned to India at the age of twenty-three to explore her Indianness. She traveled back and forth from India. she worked in Mexico and partied in India. She was exploring the flea markets in Goa, where she found people selling tapes with music in it. she thought that it was terrible. That is when she started making compilation tapes and selling them. A lot of people bought the CDs which helped to spread the word. She finally believed that she was a DJ when she started getting international bookings. Today, she is one of India's most iconic names in Electronic Dance Music.
