Micky's parents are legendary Punjabi composers Shri Kesar Singh Narula and Smt. Mohini Narula. His native place is Delhi. He is the Brother of playback singer Jaspinder Narula.

Starting his formal training at the tender age of five, Mickey gave his first stage performance at the age of eight.
