Rasika Borkar

Rasika Borkar is one of the finalists for Voice India Season 2. She was born in a middle-class family. Her parents are both from singing background. Her mother used to train her, as her mother herself was a singer. Being the eldest child of the house, her parents always hoped high for her and always supported her passion. She used to take part in singing competitions held at the local level and used to win most of them. Her father used to take her and her younger sister to the singing competitions held at outskirts of the city.

She also took part in the various singing competition organized at her school. Rasika Borkar represented her school at the National level singing competition. Apart from singing, she was also good in her studies. She was one of the high scorers in her class. Her teachers used to praise her. They used to give her example to other kids. She took a great step towards her singing career after being selected for Voice India season 2 auditions. She was among the finalists and was the runner-up of the show. While she was on the show, she grabbed a huge fan following because of her mesmerizing voice.

She sang Aan Milo Sajna at the Blind Auditions. Her voice made judges give standing ovation for her. During an interview, she said, “I want the people to recognize our city, Akola, and want them to know that there is talent hidden in every part of the country.” Some songs that she sang during the show are, “Kahin Aag Lage,” “Jhingat,” “Jay Bhim,” “Saathi Re Bhool Na Jana,” “Pal Do Pal,” and many others. She wishes to complete her parents and sister’s dreams, and proceed with her passion in coming future. She also wishes to lend her voice to Indian film industry in coming future, after completing her studies.
