Sayantan Paul is an Indian singer. He came from Guwahati. His father is a Bengali film actor while his mother is a Bharatnatyam dancer. His school teacher first recognised Sayantan's music talent, and since then, there is no looking back. At the age of 11, he already composed few piece of his own. His dream is to become a music director. Sayantan rose to fame after joining the reality singing competition, STAR Voice of India, in the year 2007.
At first, he got eliminated from the show but became the wild card entrant together with Ahsan Ali. At the end of the show, their duo took the third spot. In 2010, they joined STAR Plus’
