Ajay Ratra is an Indian cricket player. He has played both national and international matches. He was born on 13 December 1981 in Faridabad, Haryana. His nickname is “Bunty”. He is one among those Indian cricketers who tried their hand at cricket at a very tender age. He is a right-hand batsman. He got an outstanding training after he was selected for National Academy of Cricket in Bangalore in 2000. With this, he was exposed to mainstream cricket and his interest drove him to international cricket very soon. From the very beginning, he has been the permanent address for many records.

In 2002, he was the part of the One Day International (ODI) cricket team against England. He was the wicket keeper for an innings in 2002 in West Indies. He scored 115 runs and as of then, he became the Youngest Wicket Keeper to make a century in test cricket. Later he had many milestones in his cricket career. He also has the title of being the second Indian wicket keeper to make a century in tests overseas. But soon, he lost his place in the international cricket scene. Throughout his career, he made his best attempt to face each and every match. In the international scenario, he couldn't make the list of the sorted either in the tests or ODI's. In Ajay Ratra's early days in cricket, he played in Under 19 Youth World Cup in 2000. He was also the part of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, in which, he played for Goa. However, later he served as a coach and before retirement in 2015, he played in 99 first-class matches and 89 List A matches.
