Abid Ali is a well-known Pakistani personality famous in his neighboring country India also. In the young age, during his schooling, he had no specified interest in television, but he had an artistic and creative mind. When he moved on to college, he gave auditions to work in Radio Pakistan and got selected by Ata Shad for his appreciable voice that was suitable for the job. He worked in Radio Pakistan while studying. After completing his college, he decided to work as a television actor and moved to Lahore and started giving auditions and got a break on television in India. In the 1970s, he worked as a DJ on Radio Pakistan before moving to Lahore. Abid Ali's first television drama as an actor was the show- Jhok Sial (1973) telecasted on the PTV channel. He debuted as a director and producer through the drama- Dasht in 1993. On 2 September 2019, Abid Ali was hospitalized at Liaquat National Hospital in Karachi, and he passed away on 5 September 2019 due to the condition of liver failure.
