Suttilal Halwai is the name through which most of his fans know him. He played the role of the owner of Buvette in Lapataganj. Lapataganj is also the name of the TV serial, (26 October 2009 – 15 August 2014), which aired on SAB TV, and was among the most favorite television shows of its time. In the TV serial, the tea and Samosa from his shop are fancied by all the occupants of Lapataganj, yet he usually complains about being not able to pay bills.Â
His adoration for his wife is appreciable, and he acts like he is terrified of her when she is irritated. In the show, his wife’s brother also moves in with him and starts working in his shop. He named the shop after the name of his father, which shows how much love he has for the man who raised him. Sunil was also cast in a TV series named, Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai... Ajab Sa Risk Hai (April 22, 2013 – May 23, 2014).
Because of his prominence among viewers, Sunil chose to take an interest in the Indian Parliament Election and turned into a part of National Assembly from Chatra, Jharkhand. It appears like his acting career is everything, but over, as he is among the main lawmaker in the nation, and requiring some investment out for acting from an occupied calendar won't be easy for him.
