Amruta was born on November 23, 1984 in Pune, Maharashtra, India. She is currently living in Mumbai and has younger sister named Aditi. Amruta belongs to a middle class family. Her parents are Raju Khanvilkar and Gowri Khanvilkar. Amruta has worked in Hindi and Marathi films and she became a leading actress of Marathi cinemas and she is a well known dancer. She participated in a talent hunt show in 2004 named “Zee India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj” and took 3rd position in it. She also performed in series of Sahara One TV named “Ada” followed by series “Time Bomb 9/11”. Amruta also hosted a show named “Bollywood tonight”, which was aired on Zee TV. She started her career in Marathi film name “” in the year 2006. She became a leading lady, by doing a Marathi film titled “Saade Maade Teen”, which was released in 2007 and produced by Zee talkies and it was the very popular film of its time. Amruta also took part in a dance based reality show “” in which, she proved that she is one of the best dancers. She also hosted a dance based reality show named "" which was aired on Zee Marathi.
