Drashti Dhami is a Bollywood model and television actress who acts in many television serials. She was born on January 10, 1985, and brought up in an orthodox Gujarati household in Bombay. She is widely known for her energy on the screen and the liveliness she brings to the shows she plays. She finished her studies at Mary Immaculate Girl’s High School in Mumbai and went on to complete an Arts Degree Major in Sociology at Mithibai College.

Aside from being an actress, Drashti is also a renowned and talented model and dancer. She appeared in several advertisements before making her debut on television. She has acted in commercials for famous brands like Lion Honey, Chevrolet Spark, VIP Bags, Reliance, etc. She is often called to appear and dance in music videos of famous artists. Her first music video was Saiyyan Dil Mein Aana Re and started to appear in much more including a Punjabi music video, Nachle Soniye Tu and even a cameo in Teri Meri Nazar Ki Dori. She also started her career as an Indian model. The way she presented herself as a model has made several serial directors cast her in their series.

Drashti received awards in the different category. She got the Most Celebrated Jodi on Television for her role in Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi on the Zee Gold Awards 2011. She also got the Most Lokpriya Jodi Award at the Colors Golden Petal Awards 2013, Best Actress at the Star Guild Awards 2014, Best Actress Critic at the Zee Gold Awards 2014 and the Most Lokpriya Jodi award at the Golden Petal Awards 2013, all for her role in Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.

Drashti was also selected as the Brand Ambassador for the Canvironment Week 2011 and 2013 which was started by the Hindustan Tin Works Ltd. to give support to the cause of “Save Our Planet”. She was also listed on the number 12th of the World’s Sexiest Asian list by Eastern Eye. She has won many hearts with her acting style since she was on-screen from 2007. She is expected to make her mark on the big screen pairing up with one of the leading actors in Bollywood cinema.
