Poorva Gokhale is a popular Marathi television actress. She was born on November 20 in Mumbai, India. Her real name before marrying the businessman, Kedar Gokhale is Poorva Gupte. Poorva is also the daughter of a well-known theatre actress and she also donned theatre roles before she landed on television. She studied at Holy Cross Convent School and at V.G. Vaze College in Mumbai. Poorva is a trained classical dancer and also an aerobics instructor. She was part of the enchanting ballet entitled, Krishna which depicts the significant events from Lord Krishna’s life and expressed through ballet. She is now living with her family in Thane, India.

She was debuted as a television actress on Zee Marathi’s Rimjhim in year 1999. After that, she started to appear in several Marathi serials including Tharaar and Kya Baat Hain. During her teenage years, the actress was cast in the Hindi serial, Kkoi Dil Mein Hain as Kajal on Sony TV; a story that revolves on the friendship of two distinct girl. She played as the traditional and quiet girl opposite Karishma Tana who is an outgoing and very sociable girl. Afterwards, Poorva took a short hiatus due to her pregnancy and after giving birth to her baby girl, Anushka, she made a comeback in television. She appeared in one of the most popular Balaji Telefilms’ Hindi soap, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii on Star Plus, where she bagged the role of Gunn, the wife of Krishna Agarwal (played by Sachin Sharma/Samir Sharma). During her pregnancy, the actress is still doing the Marathi serial, Bhagya Vidhata on ETV Marathi and after giving birth, she continued on doing the serial. She was also cast in the Marathi serial, Aradhana on Star Pravah.

Poorva was also part of a Hindi music album entitled, Boondein and is now acting in the lead role on the Marathi series, Kulavadhu together with . She also donned a Marathi stage play entitled, . She also venture on producing television shows together with her co-star in Kahaani, Gaurav Chaturvedi with the banner, Baanyan Tree Media & Entertainment. The two produced the drama series, Pehchaan which was aired on DD National under the direction of Shyam Maheshwari.

Poorva is a notable actress who gained praises and appreciations for her good acting skills. But in real life, she is a very reserved person and a loving mother. And although her schedules was quite hectic, she always made it sure that she’ll go home as soon as her shoots were done to attend to her family.
