Vishal Maurya is an Indian writer and social reformer born on 27th January 1996 in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. His father is BR Maurya, a businessman, and his mother is a homemaker. Vishal is an engineering graduate. Vishal's interest in writing began when he was just 9-10 years old. When Vishal was 13, his short story was published in a local magazine, which motivated him to write more. In 2011, he attempted to publish a novel but didn't succeed. Later, he decided to go with thriller love stories. But he needed some time to get his first draft stronger. He started writing in December 2018 and completed the script in May 2019. The script satisfied him well, and thereafter, he never had a slip. He wrote a lot of short stories, books, and serials. Real people inspire Vishal, and his characters are based on them. Vishal is the co-author of the anthology book, Meilleur Ami, published by Krishnal Publication, and After You My Soul, published by Maniananest Publication.

Vishal worked as the technical director of an Assamese short film, Blooming Day. In 2011, Vishal started a campaign against missing children and child labor and also supported education for all. In 2012, he founded the Find Missing Children movement to create awareness in society and make children safe from trafficking. In 2014, a missing child was found and handed over to his parents safely. Vishal considers this as his first significant achievement. In 2015, he worked with the community campaign No More Missing to educate people about the threat of child trafficking. In 2020, he established the Tathagat Foundation in Bareilly, his hometown. This organization spreads awareness about child labor, child abuse, violence, missing children, runaway children, and sexual abuse of children.

Vishal Maurya also works on the Stop Cyber Bullying campaign. With the help of NCIB and Child Line 1098, he works for Children's Protection rights. Vishal's campaigns received wide response from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the Philippines, Bhutan, the UK, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Vishal and his team help many underprivileged children get free education from some volunteering officers. These campaigns save many drug addicts, child laborers, and child beggars and assist them in obtaining educational benefits. Vishal has received numerous awards, including the Global Icon Awards 2021, the Shoorveer Award in 2021 for working as a warrior during the COVID crisis, the Education Awards 2022, the India Excellence Awards 2022 for Best Educationist & Social Service Activist, Proud Indian Parliament Award 2023, and Child-Friendly Leadership Award 2023. He was also nominated for the Spectrum Sahitya Award in the field of literature in 2020.

Besides his social services, he has also presented a research paper, "Knowledge & Attitude Towards Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Acts 2019 of India: A study of Kinnar Community of Bareilly Division of Uttar Pradesh," in 2023.
