Anuradha Vikranth

Anuradha Vikranth became a well-known household face after her television debut, “Takdhimita”, a popular dance show. She is a proclaimed classical dancer who has undergone intense training under Guru Smt. Nirupama Rajendra and Guru Smt. Narmada. She is also a direct disciple of the renowned Padma Bushan Guru, Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam. She continues to learn under him. Anuradha Vikranth is basically from Bangalore, where she completed her under graduation in Commerce at Mount Carmel College. Later, she pursued her Masters in Bharatanatyam at Sastra University, Tamilnadu. She is married to T.M. Vikranth, who is now the director of their Drishti Art Centre established in 2001.

This foundation conducts the “Drishti National Dance Festival” every year, which has gained recognition by national and international artists. Not only a dance artist but a teacher, choreographer, and organizer. Her devotion to Bharatanatyam flew her across the United Kingdom to showcase her dance production “Mahabharata – The Essence of life.” She has won numerous awards (Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda State Award, FLO Woman of the Future Award, Kala Arati Ratna, etc.) She has performed in major cultural events in India, Canada, and the US, UK, and UAE. She is an “A” graded artist of Doordarshan.

She is also an honorable member of the Academic Council of Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music, and Performing Arts University and Secretary of World Dance Alliance – Karnataka Chapter. The most remarkable performance of “Mayura Sandesha” of her life would be under the teaching of Guru Dr. Veena Murthy. In this performance, she drew a colorful peacock with her feet while dancing. Anuradha Vikranth tries to be a balanced woman both in her personal and professional life. Other than dancing, she loves to travel, read, and occasionally plays badminton.
